The 2012 International Builders’ Show kicks off on February 8th next week and the BuildIQ expert team is already planning their path through the show. If you read our blog post on 2012 trends in the H&B industry, you’ll know that we’re approaching IBS with a keen eye on innovative, high-performing products that are marketed in creative new ways.
Here’s 4 booths that define this theme, and we can’t wait to see up close at the show:
- Dow Building Solutions (Booth W829) – Dow Building Solutions is leading the pack when it comes to energy efficient homes, and we just love the new micro-site they created to showcase how builders and contractors have worked with Dow to merge “Art” with “Energy Efficiency.”
- Kohler (Booth W2501) — Never one to miss, the kitchen and bath leader is bringing a full line-up of new and innovative products to IBS. Check their FlickR account (always one of our favorites) for a preview of what you can find at the show.
- Formica (Booth W2221) – Formica worked with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Building America Program to to launch the the Cool energy House, a performance-based, whole-house remodeling demonstration project that educates the industry and homeowners about economically sound strategies for energy efficient, healthy, comfortable and durable homes. Formica will feature all of the innovative products used in their IBS booth.
- Window & Door Dealers Alliance (Booth W314) — The WDDA is the only business organization advancing the vital interests of the Window & Door Dealer segment on the national stage. They’ll be at IBS to talk about how their efforts to establish broader benchmarking standards across the industry and advance legislative and regulatory policy. We also love the WDDA because of the innovative ways that they connect with their membership, employing a blog and social media channels to keep window and door dealers up to speed on activities.
